I am a photographer, wife to a great guy, and mom to 2 awesome kids (whom I will feature on the blog from time to time, of course!). My roots are in graphic design, so I love nothing better than to tell your story through photographs. I really love what I do, you will probably catch me smiling a big cheesy smile behind my camera... I once heard a bride say "she giggles when she's getting the good stuff!". So be prepared to relax and have a great time, let me worry about the photographs, and rest assured you will have some amazing images to treasure. I work in a mostly candid manner, with some posing here and there. Give me a call (417-839-3501) or send me an email (erica@turnercreative.net) anytime - I'd love to talk with you!! You can also find me on facebook or twitter.
I had the best time with Kate and Chris during their engagement session in Columbia. Since they met while going to school at Mizzou, we started their photos there and finished up at Rock Bridge State Park. It was sooo cold that day, but they did an amazing job anyway! Can’t wait till their big day in September
I don’t know about you but I am COMPLETELY ready for some warmer weather. So I decided to post a session from a much warmer season Maggie and Justin are absolutely adorable together! They’re getting married in May with a carnival theme – so after starting at the park, the Fair was a perfect location to finish up their engagement session.
I was going through some files and realized I have quite a few seniors I haven’t blogged. It’s been awhile since we took these, but Kenzie did a great job for her senior pictures!
I remember asking Tom and Jill what the style of their wedding would be, (vintage, modern, etc.) in a conversation during their engagement session. And they mentioned a couple of things and Tom finished with “…it’s going to be very Tom and Jill.” I’d not really heard that answer before so was pretty excited (and a little curious) for their wedding at Lafayette Park. This one definitely ranks among my favorites. The details and decor were beautiful, everyone was kind and friendly – it was just pretty great all around. Plus, I had the sweet and talented Amanda Turner along to second shoot with me Also, you will probably recognize some faces from Christe and John’s wedding at Bee Tree Park – I was lucky to get to work with the Lorentz family twice last year!
Notice how bright some of these leaves are – Tom’s sister collected them and microwaved them to preserve the color. How cool is that?
LOVE the way Tom looks at Jill
And the way a little girls’ face lights up when she sees the bride:
A few wedding photos around Soulard Farmer’s Market.
Favorite!
I will never be able to hear “Home” by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes again without thinking of their dance and smiling. It was perfect!
I loved working with Mandy and Lance! They had a beautiful wedding with lots of handmade details at the River Center at The Landing last fall Perfect day.
Kathryn and Curtiss had the prettiest peacock/vintage travel themed wedding, and I love the emerald bridesmaids dresses (THE big color this year . I think it rained about 4 inches the day they were married (no exaggeration!). The original plan was to follow their church wedding with an outdoor reception, but Mother Nature didn’t exactly cooperate. At the last minute, everything was moved indoors to Kathryn’s parents’ barn and the results were gorgeous! The best part – they didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits and had a wonderful day Loved working with them!
