I am a photographer, wife to a great guy, and mom to 2 awesome kids (whom I will feature on the blog from time to time, of course!). My roots are in graphic design, so I love nothing better than to tell your story through photographs. I really love what I do, you will probably catch me smiling a big cheesy smile behind my camera... I once heard a bride say "she giggles when she's getting the good stuff!". So be prepared to relax and have a great time, let me worry about the photographs, and rest assured you will have some amazing images to treasure. Yesterday afternoon Ashley begged to go play in the snow. So she got her snow clothes on and went outside. (I am so done with all of the cold, wet snow). I watched her look around, kick at the snow, and sigh. Pretty soon… she was at the door, saying, “Pleeeeeze come play with me!!!” Immediately, my mind went back ten years when Shane (my fifteen year old) was saying the same thing. I thought about it for maybe two seconds, dropped what I was doing, put my on my coveralls, coat and boots and headed out the door. Ten years from now, she will be in her room listening to music and will care less what I’m doing. But right now, she wants me to play with her. And - that’s what matters

Vacation

My favorite word! Who doesn’t love vacation? Chad and I took a short trip to Colorado this past August, and as I was browsing some of the photos I took, I thought I’d share a few. I think my favorites are the black and whites, which ones are your favorites?

The Mail

There have been so many wonderful things in the mail lately! I’ve been a graphic artist for a long time now and love nothing better than beautiful stationery. Just thought I’d share a little of the loveliness with you:

These Christmas cards and birth announcements were created by the super talented Cassie Patterson. If you have been following this blog for awhile, you may remember their wedding, Mexico anniversary, Day After session, and I still need to blog Macie’s newborn session. Adam and Autumn ~ Wedding Lamar, Missouri

Adam and Autumn are a great… no scratch that - perfect - couple. They are so sweet with each other it really is a wonderful experience just to spend a little time with them. I’m so happy to have been their wedding photographer and had the chance to get to know these two.

It was 9ºF outside… but I was so thrilled they still wanted to go outside for a few (quick) photos

Baby Axel ~ 3 Months

It’s hard to believe it’s been 3 months since Axel was born! I think the little guy has gotten just a little cuter every single day because now he is even more adorable!! I think I could photograph this family every day of the week.
